Our Day Trip Operations Manager is responsible for operational oversight of our ½ and 1 day trips. He/she reports to our General Manager.
Responsibilities incude
- Insure the operation of high quality river trips
- Manage day trip guides and any part-time shop employees
- Supervise trip packing, unpacking and clean-up
- Conduct and arrange for trip shuttles
- Purchase and manage trip food
- Work a specified number of days on the river per month
- Repair, maintain, and organize rafting equipment and gear
- Maintain a clean and efficient workplace
- Maintain vehicles in good working order
- Operate within budget guidelines
- Maintain petty cash account and submit accounting reports
- Insure that all guides are familiar with O.R.E. and
government policies

Qualifications
Required
- At least 18 years of age.
- At least one and preferably two or more seasons of commercial whitewater rafting experience.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and people skills.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Personable and friendly demeanor, and an enthusiasm for sharing the outdoors with guests.
- Strong work ethic, and the willingness to be a team player.
- Good driving record.
- Good health is a must: position involves occasional heavy lifting.
- Willingness to work varied and occasionally long
hours. (This is not a conventional, 9 to 5 job)
- First-hand knowledge of the day-trip rivers we run
- Mechanical aptitude
- WFR or EMT certification
- SWT certification
- 4 year college degree
Other Details
Work Schedule
- Full time seasonal, 5-6 days per week. Flexible start and end dates (Mid-May or later through late August or later).
- Salaried. $1,500 to $2,000+ monthly, depending on both assigned duties and prior experience.
- Paychecks are issued twice monthly.
Housing
- Our guide house includes kitchen, living room, bathroom, storage area, and indoor sleeping areas. Private bedroom is available for Manager.
