What's new
It has been a mild and relatively dry year so far, and river flows will likely be a bit below average this spring and summer.
What does this mean for rafting enthusiasts? Primarily it means that high water flows in the spring will be lower in height and shorter in duration than in an average year. But late spring and summer flows will be much the same as they always are.
If you are a high-water enthusiast and are looking for the greatest possible thrill level, then take the eariest possible trip that your schdule allows. But if you are looking for a late spring or summer trip then you can safely schedule a trip that fits your plans.
Seasons on the Owyhee, Grande Ronde, and John Day Rivers will likely be shorter than normal. But as for our other seven rivers, all will be well. We've been running trips for 32 years now, and we've never had a year when the rivers didn't have enough water to provide a good river trip for our guests.
