Lower Salmon River Rafting

Lower Salmon river rafting trips are big. The canyon's are big, the beaches are big, white and sandy, like being at the ocean. The rapids are full of big splashy waves with names like Half-&-Half or Snow Hole.  The soaring views downriver & upriver make for a whitewater multiday trip that is a favorite for anyone who ever goes.

With usually warm weather and clear refreshing water, the salmon river rafting trip is full of swimming opportunities.  Kids have a great chance to be in the water lots throughout the day.

This whitewater river trip is a "pool drop" river; which means some great chances to learn to row your own boat or maneuver an inflatable kayak through the rapids with nice pools at the bottom.  It doesn't matter if your a season river runner or a family out on your first multiday, the rapids are great for everyone.

The Wildlife

The towering desert canyons and gorges hold wildlife like the desert bighorn sheep, along with the sounds of canyon wrens crescendo bouncing off the walls.  At night the lower salmon rivers wide open sky's provide enchanting star gazing as you listen to the water lap against the shore and boats.  With the beaches and bars thier is countless stories.  From area's full of history from the Nez Pierce and the gold miners and river hermits who escaped to its wilds to find their own solitude, every turn holds a story.

Five Day Lower Salmon River Trip
